1 Thessalonians 5

Lay Bible

1. But concerning those times and those seasons, you have no need that I write you .
2. For you yourselves perfectly know, that the day of the Lord is as a thief in the night; in this manner shall it come.
3. For when they say ‘peace’ and ‘security’, at that same time, unexpected destruction shall come upon them, just as childbirth throes in the belly of her that is pregnant with child; and there is no way of escape at all for them.
4. But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that the day [should] come upon you as a thief.
5. Ye are sons of light and sons of the day. We are not of the night nor of darkness.
6. Therefore, now, let us not sleep as others who remain, but let us be watchful and sober.
7. For those that sleep, they sleep at night; and those who are drunk, they are drunk at night.
8. But we are of the day, so be sober; put ye on the breast-armour of faith and love; and for a helmet, the hope of deliverance .
9. For you are not set by God for wrath, but to obtain deliverance through him [who is], our Lord Jesus Christ.
10. He [who] died for us, so that whether we are awake or we are asleep, we should at the same time be together with him, alive.
11. Wherefore, comfort one another, and build up each one, the other just as indeed ye do.
12. But we ask you, brethren, that ye know those who tirelessly labour among you, and are set over you in the Lord, and admonish you;
13. And those who have rule over you, highly esteem exceedingly with love for the work they do. Be peaceful among yourselves.
14. Moreover, we exhort you brethren, caution those that are out of line, encourage those that are short-spirited, uphold those that are weak, be patient in spirit towards everyone.
15. See to it that no one repays one evil with another evil, but rather always eagerly seek what is good indeed to one another, and to everyone.
16. Always rejoice .
17. Pray your prayers without ceasing.
18. In everything give thanks, for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.
19. The Spirit, quench ye not.
20. Prophecies, despise ye not.
21. Prove ye everything. That which is excellent, hold unto.
22. From all form of evil, keep away.
23. And he himself who is the only God of peace, make you perfectly holy, and complete in the entirety in your heritage, so that the spirit, and the soul, and the body, may be blamelessly maintained at the coming of him who is our Lord Christ.
24. Faithful is he who calls you, he also will do it.
25. Brethren, pray ye for us.
26. Greet ye all the brethren with a holy kiss.
27. I charge you in the Lord, read this epistle to all the holy brethren.
28. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. Amen.

1 Thessalonians 5

1Thessalonians 4

Lay Bible

1. Beside these, therefore, brethren, we ask you and exhort you in the Lord Jesus, just as ye have received from us how you should walk and please God, even so walk, so that ye will abound more and more.
2. For ye know the instructions we gave to you, through the Lord Jesus.
3. For this is the will of God, that ye be sanctified; that ye abstain from fornication .
4. See to it that each of you by himself, has self-control over his own vessel in holiness and honour.
5. Not in lustful passion, just as those Gentiles that do not know the only God,
6. None of you should go beyond what is right and covet that which is his brother’s own, because the Lord is the avenger of every such thing, even as we said before to you, and constantly testified.
7. For we are not called by God to uncleanness, but unto holiness.
8. Wherefore then, whoever rejects this, does not reject man, but God; who is the one that gave us the Spirit of himself, the Holy One , and also [gave] to you.
9. But concerning love of a brother [or a sister] , it is not necessary I write to you, for ye yourselves are taught by God to love one another.
10. For indeed, you do so already yourselves towards all the brethren who are within and throughout all Makedonia. And we exhort you, brethren, do so exceedingly more and more.
11. And be valuable friends, live quietly, and do your own business, and work with your hands, just as you have been enjoined to do [by us].
12. So that ye may walk becomingly towards those that are outside, and none of you be in need.
13. I do not want you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning those that have slept, so that ye do not grieve as the rest of them who are not having hope.
14. For if you believe that Jesus died and rose [again], in like manner also, God shall make those who are asleep, to be taken with himself, through Jesus.
15. For this, we speak to you the word of the Lord, that we who are alive, who remain at the coming of the Lord, will not go before those who are asleep.
16. For the Lord himself with a commanding shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trumpet of God shall descend from heaven, and those who are dead in Christ shall rise first.
17. Thereafter, we who are alive, and who remain, shall together with them at the same time with himself, be snatched up in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the atmosphere , and thus shall we always be with the Lord.
18. So speak comfortably with one another with these words of his.

Rebuild

Consider and Be Rebuilt

The walls, of Jerusalem,
Not the forgotten one of Pisa, Maya or Berlin
Not the miracle of Babel that spread them.
Oh the Pentagon that came down on 9/11
Now in its place towers point to the skies
Lives battered and shattered along the eyes
in search of the alphas and deltas of life
hopes lost, a passing scenery comes to knife
Not the Jericho founded on blood.
Dreams, startups, homes, hopes, every mood
shattered in ashes, even at NYSE.

The spirit it is that moves men
To rise from the ashes and from the dust
Once to existence and next to resurrection must
there is nothing in all these wen
That will not rise anew as faith rebuilds, then
the shadows, realities in motion, the outsiders
The damage that we do to the earth, to ourselves or to others
God himself, believe it or not,
Has set a system and the Spirit to rebuild:

Let Jesus Christ Rebuild you.

Galatians 1

  1.  Paul, an apostle, not [commissioned][1] by men[2], neither through [the means] of man, but rather, through Jesus Christ, and also, by God the Father, who by himself raised him up[3] from the dead.
  2. Also, those with me, and all the brethren, to the churches[4] of Galatia:
  3. Grace[5] to you, and peace [proceeding] from God the Father, and from our Lord Jesus Christ.
  4. Who[6] gave himself for the sake of our sins, so that he might deliver [rescue, save, pluck out] us out from the impending[7] world[8] of calamity[9], in accordance with the will of God, who also is our Father.
  5. To him belongs the glory, [honour and praise] [from[10] this age and into eternity, Amen.
  6. I am perplexed[11] because you have so abruptly[12] departed[13] and separated from your calling with the grace of Christ to another gospel.
  7. Although there is not really another [gospel] in existence[14], rather, there are those[15] who are causing disquiet[16] among you, and also those with the desire to pervert[17] the gospel[18] of Christ.
  8. However, even if we or an angel from heaven preach[19] another gospel to you, opposed to that gospel[20] which was proclaimed by me[21] to you; let him be cursed.
  9. As we [have] said before, I now say again: If anyone [whatsoever], preach[22] any good news to you different[23] from that [gospel which was] received by you [from us], let him be cursed.
  10. For do I seek now to persuade men rather than God? Or do I seek to please men? For indeed, if I strive still to please men, I would not really be the servant of Christ.
  11. But I make known to you brethren, the gospel [good news]; for the gospel [preached] by me is not according to man.
  12. For I did not receive it from any man, neither was it taught to me [by any man]; rather, through revelation [was it made plain[24] to me] by Jesus Christ.
  13. For you heard about[25] my lifestyle [which was] formerly in Judaism[26]; how that fervently and surpassing others, I persecuted the church of God, and indeed [sought] to destroy it.
  14. Indeed [also], I advanced[27] in the Jewish faith and religion[28] above many of my age, in my own nation[29] being exceedingly more zealous than others in my adherence[30] to the tradition of my ancestors[31].
  15. But when it pleased God, he[32] set me apart from my mother’s womb, and called me by[33] his grace[34].
  16. To reveal his Son to me; so that by me, the gospel should be proclaimed among the heathen [nations][35]; immediately I did not consult[36] with flesh[37] and blood.
  17. Neither did I go up to Jerusalem to those who were apostles before me. But I went into Arabia, and [was there] until I returned to Damascus.
  18. Thereafter, after three years [there], I went up to Jerusalem to visit [and be acquainted with][38] Petros[39] [Peter], and I remained with him fifteen days.
  19. But of the other apostles, I saw none, except Jacob[40] [James] the Lord’s brother.
  20. Now, these things which I now write to you, behold, before[41] God that ever is, I lie not.
  21. Thereafter, I came into the regions[42] of Syria and Cilicia[43].
  22. And I was unknown by face to the believers[44] of Judaea, who were in Christ.
  23. But that they heard only, that he who persecuted us in times past, now evangelises[45] the [truth of the] faith which before he sought to destroy.
  24. And they glorified God for [in] me

Preface and Translation Principles to the First Edition of the Inspired Bible

The Inspired Bible (also called the Lay Bible in the English Language) is an authentic and highly authoritative translation from the original Hebrew text of the Holy Scriptures, that captures the dignity of the Sacred language, and retains the vigour of the word, the beauty of the scriptures, the excellence of its texts, the vividness of its characters, and the purpose, plan and provision of salvation of man and mankind that permeates it in its entirety.

It combines the best qualities of exact rendition of the meaning of the original texts, clarity of expression, ease of reading and understanding in mind, as well as a strong desire to capture the word and spirit of the scriptures, so that the faithful, as well as the unlearned, can dwell on them and have good success and eternal life which all those [both men and nations] who give themselves to them in study and in daily life practice, are bound to attain.

This translation took advantage of centuries of scholarship in the field of biblical translation, cross-references, bible lexicons and dictionaries [especially the Ancient Bible Lexicon of the Bible and Strong’s Concordance], numerous other English translations, and commentaries by notable bible scholars.

It could also be said that every Bible translation worth reading, went through the rigours of crosscheck and criticism: both self-criticism and professional criticism; and so did this effort with extensive reviews made by scholars, bible text specialists, ministers as well as lay believers.
